Founded by the Hankook Ilbo in 1971, Bonghwangdaegi is a national competition in which all high school teams participate, and has served as a gateway to star players by directing dramas without a script. From Kim Jae-bak, Seon Dong-yeol, Park Chan-ho, Lee Seung-yeop, Ryu Hyun-jin, Lee Jeong-hu, and Kang Baek-ho, the stars of Korean baseball were born under the flag of the phoenix.

This year, 95 high school teams nationwide, including 18 sports club teams, are expected to compete fiercely. From the opening day of the 18th, you can watch the games held at Mokdong and Sinwol Stadium in real time on the Bonghwangdaegi website, Korea Baseball Softball Association website and YouTube, and from the quarterfinals on SPOTV.
